Burnham on Crouch

Between October 30/31, the nearside front window of a Vauxhall Vivaro was smashed and a portable DVD player stolen, at St Mary’s Road. Any information to Pc Alan Bowen.

At Millfields Caravan site, between October 19 and November 1, thieves broke a window on a caravan to gain entry and stole a TV, DVD, children’s toys and alcohol. Any information to Sgt Phil Morley.

At Burnham on Crouch Rugby Club, between 30 October and 1 November, a side door of a secure portacabin was forced and a black gentleman’s mountain bike, together with several crates of “Poweraid” drinks, were stolen.

In the Car Park of the East of England Co-op, Foundry lane, between 29 and 31 October, the drivers window of a Vauxhall vectra was smashed and attempts were made to start and drive off the vehicle, unsuccessfully. Damage is estimated at £1,000. The thieves left with a pumpkin, stolen from inside the car. Any information to Pc Lea Keene.

Latchingdon

From a yard in Maldon Road, overnight on 27/28 October, a yellow Stania tipper was stolen and driven away through the locked gates, causing £4,000 of damage. The tipper is worth around £50,000. Any information to Pc Rod Gaskin.

Southminster

In Princes Road between October 27/28, the offside drivers door and wing of a VW GT was starched, causing £400 worth of damage. Information to Pc Rod Gaskin.

At Steeple Hall, Canney Road, Steeple, between 24/29 October,the lock from a fuel storage tank was removed and approximately 100 litres of heating oil removed, together with a ladder. Information to Pc Sam Pateman.

Between 29/30 October, at a building under construction in Southminster Road, Asheldham, thieves broke in and stole a boiler and radiators. Information to Pc Sam Pateman.



Mayland

Around 9.00pm on 29 October, a front garden brick wall in the Drive was damaged. Information to Pc Sam Pateman.

At North Drive around 9.00pm on 31 October, a pumpkin was thrown at a window, breaking the outer pane.

At Imperial Avenue on 31 October, a double glazed lead light window was shattered by persons unknown, causing damage estimated at £400.

Tillingham

The Bowls Club at Vicarage Lane was targeted twice – on 30 October, when 4 small pictures were stolen (and later recovered) and a glass panel in the front door was smashed.

Great Totham

During the day of 29 October, in Maldon Road, an air rifle and carrying bag, worth £1,000, were stolen. Information to Pc Patrick Snape.


Heybridge

Between 8.00 and 10.00pm on 22 October, at Creek Hall Road, two bikes – electric blue gentlemans suspension mountain bike and a aluminium suspension gentlemans bike with a skull and crossbones sticker – were stolen. Two male suspects were seen running from the location – both aged between 17-20, with slim build. Any information to Pc Rod Gaskin.

At Harvest Way overnight on 28/29 October, two cars – VW Beetle Cabriolet and Silver Saab 93 Vector Sports Estate – were broken into. Items were stolen, including a set of golf clubs, TomTom and Garmin Sat Nav systems, laptop computer, iPods and DVD equipment. Total value estimated at £7,000. Any information to Maldon Police Station.

Overnight on 29/30 October, from Everest Way, a bicycle was stolen. Bike is an Onza T-Vee trial bike, grey frame, black wheels with grey line running through the middle of tyre, black handlebars, front forks with white masking tape wrapped around them, black seat 10cm long, few scratches on middle frame, hedgehog logos on bike. At Temple Way, around 10.30pm on 1 November, a lit firework was posted through the letterbox, causing damage to the floor and carpet estimated at £600. Any information to Mr Arran Shave. This is a dangerous thing to do – please ensure that all NHW members in the area are aware as there could be repeats for the next couple of weeks.

Maldon

Overnight on 27/28 October, a parking ticket machine was broken into, causing £400 of damage. Nothing was stolen. Any information to Pc Cally MacIver.

Overnight on 27/28 October, at Brickhouse Farm Community Centre, Poulton Close, lead flashing has been stolen from the roof, causing £500 of damage. The lead is worth about £100.

At the Old Iron Works, Fullbridge, overnight on ½ November, two windows were smashed with a brick, causing £700 of damage. Information to Pc Sonia Mirrington.

A mobile phone was stolen from an unattended bag on 31 October at the Rose and Crown.
(Clearly she did not have one of our purse/handbag alarms).

Woodham Mortimer

At a house in Chelmsford Road, during the morning of 29 October, the front door was forced and a wallet containing euros was stolen. Any information to Dc Alison Cotter.

Wickham Bishops

Overnight on 30/31 October, the lock on a meal container at a property development was forced and a vacuum cleaner stolen. Any information to Pc Wendy Brown.

West Hanningfield

Insecure stables were broken into and tack, valued at £300 was stolen. Contact Essex Police Mounted Unit for information on equine security.

From a farm in Helmons Lane West on 28 October, garden tools, petrol and petrol cans were stolen, valued at £1300.

Rettendon

Overnight on 31 October/1 November, at Rettendon Primary School, a catering trailer with 3 catering ranges in it, was stolen. Total value is over £10,000.

Bicknacre

From a house in Lodge Road, during the night of 30 October, thieves broke in and removed car keys and other items. Believed to have left by the front living room window. They drove away the car, an almost new Black Ford Focus, taking a 40” TV, clothing, wallet and purse, cash and various bank cards. Please warn everyone not to leave car keys on view or to hand.

Danbury

On 30 October, at a house in Moor Hall Lane, someone walked in the insecure back door, whilst the owners were in the house, and took the keys to a Silver Toyota Landcruiser, which they then drove away.
Please warn everyone not to leave car keys on view or to hand and make sure doors are secured, especially after dark.
